The son of Neil has, what appears to be his network TV debut on Letterman tomorrow night (Thursday 28th February) in the US. Prime TV replays these shows (I think) a day behind – but if you’re interested, best to set up the recorder for this week and next! The Late Show – 11pm Weeknights [...]

The Roots – 75 Bars (Black’s Reconstruction)

Posted by: benny In: Listen

The tenth (yeah, 10th!) album, ‘Raising Down’ from The Roots is due for release at the end of April, and the first tune to be circulated from it sounds as heavy as anything they’ve done. Check it out via Okayplayer/Nah Right. And Okayplayer has the new Erykah Badu album out tomorrow in the states too [...]

More interesting is the fact I found it on one of the demo iMacs in Wellington’s Harvey Norman. It is a curious album, one that is likely to sound familiar to those knowledgeable with the indie-folk landscape popularised [...]

Schedule Two records promote a heap of their bands through the net, and luckily, a lot of what is available online is free! As well as MP3′s, there is a heap of live videos from shows by (amongst others), Andrew Bird (who I have been told is great live), and Tapes ‘n Tapes. Take a [...]
